Open tour through the exhibition
Dr. Max Tillmann is director of the “Museum and Galerie im Prediger” and the “Museum of silverware in Ott-Pausersche Fabrik” in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The coat of arms of Schwäbisch Gmünd carries a unicorn, so it seems like a perfect start to his new position from July 2019, to discuss the symbol of the unicorn within the history of art and in relation to the objects exhibited in THE LAST UNICORN.
After having held positions at the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin, Bayerische Schlösserverwaltung, Munich and Kunsthalle, Karlsruhe, he is regarded as one of the leading German specialists of art of the 18th century.
